Who could imagine?
 For those of you unaware of who this gentleman is, he is the same person who who first breached the inflammatory "PayPal only" situation Down Under, and who blurted out the hilariously telling Fruedian slip comparing PayPal to buying heroin last spring.

  You can get a good gander at Mr. Smith here on a Youtube video, which appears to be an actual ebay - PayPal production.  A couple quick points here; 1st, the amount of outright lies presented in that, and secondly, the subject's very appearance.

This post is a bit late, as I see that this occurred on or about December 16, 2008.

 His parting statement there: "I’ve enjoyed eight exciting years at eBay and, given that recent changes to the organisation are now complete, it seems an appropriate time for me to move on."

Uhm... gee... he must mean the changes are complete Down Under, as they found those folks there are not sheep and will not be bullied. Here in the USA, it seems they are intent upon mistreating the flock, and the flock is taking the abuse.

"eBay has capped off a troublesome year with Australian chief Simon Smith quitting. Yep, he's the one who made that remark likening eBay users to heroin junkies."

 Mr. Smith was featured briefly in one of my vids, but sadly only a small bit of what was planned. It seems all the changes coming from ebay this past year were done purposefully in Blitzkrieg fashion so as not to allow time enough for reaction, let alone rumination, before the next blunderous or outrageous situation came out. As a result lots of the things I had been making were delayed, unused, or became too complex/voluminous. What a shame, eh?

 At any rate, more of the ebay head honchos need to be gone! (along with the new changes) It is time to redouble the noise! Not only the SPL, but for folks to start organizing and improving the method a bit more and not fall victim to the sort of games we all saw happening in recent months (& still see happening) here & there. Remember how gravity works. "Sheet" flows downhill. More complaints to proper authoritative bodies are in order IMHO.
