Another Paypal Vulnerability Reported

Another gaping hole, or maybe a convenient "glitch" since this would only seem to be benefiting Paypal, and we all know well they need all the help they can get right now.
AuctionBytes Blog is reporting  a Cyber Attack: (of) Unsolicited, Unstoppable PayPal Payments.

It would seem that sellers/merchants are receiving payments which are not theirs, out of basically nowhere, from gibberish email addresses. At least one merchant actually removed his payment buttons and the payments kept rolling in anyway.

That, to me would clearly suggest hacking of some sort, but as pointed out in that blog, it makes no sense that real hackers or scammers would do what they are doing. The only one who stands to benefit is Paypal, because they are now able to seize the funds and lock up accounts as they conduct their "investigations". Furthermore, as pointed out, no one has ever seen this sort of "scam" before. It makes no sense.

Moreso, it is just more proof that Paypal is not safe, not secure, cannot and should not be trusted. It is loaded full of holes. Watch 'em grow! Watch that frequency increase! roflmao

The very best thing that folks can do is to simply no use them, and/or close out your accounts and do whatever they need to to disconnect your funding sources from them, since they can & will deduct (or try to) from your credit cards, bank accounts long after your account is supposedly closed. I know that from personal experience.

In my opinion, this is most likely an "inside job" perpetrated solely by Paypal to seize and hold funds, to gain interest payments etc.

But you never really know I guess. Paypal will never tell you the truth, and some of those hackers are quite the comedians.

  Fascinatin'.
